Orbital takes 1st place at the Viva Tech Start-Up Pitch Competition

Paris, France - Orbital Composites is proud to announce our award for the Space Start-Up Pitch Competition at the 2023 Viva Technology Conference. With only 3 minutes to present our vision and 60 seconds to answer questions, CEO Amolak Badesha secured Orbital’s place at #1 for displaying the “most impactful pitch” that demonstrated the validity of our space technology.

When asked about how it felt to be presented with the award, Badesha expressed that “it feels great. For the longest time, we’ve been talking about our vision, and no one would take us seriously until we really started delivering what we were capable of.”  While sending the good news back to us here at HQ, Badesha congratulated the OC team: “I dedicate this to all of you who have made tremendous sacrifices to make Orbital what it is today.”

Since we were founded in 2015, Orbital has often been so far ahead of the curve that it was difficult for others to behold our vision in its entirety. After securing our first government contract with Air Force Research Labs in April 2021, Orbital has gained significant traction, acquiring a total of 8 government contracts with the Space Force, Air Force, and Department of Energy. The Orbital team is now focused on preparing for the rapid growth that continues to be supported by an ever-expanding demand for high-performance end-use parts and vehicles made possible through robotic composite additive manufacturing.

None of this would be possible without all of our partners and customers thus far. Thank you for believing in Orbital’s goals and supporting us as we transition humanity into its next phase of technology.

Badesha concluded with some advice for aspiring entrepreneurs: “stick with your dreams, don’t give up, and keep going.”
